Melanie, is an amazing young mum who I have had the pleasure to know for many years , ahe not only puts her family before herself, but gives back to her local community and surrounding areas by putting on fantastic markets with a wonderful range of stall holders who get to display their wares. She has built up such a repore with them, that many count her as a friend, just as she counts them as friends and to top,it off they all support her markets and at the end of each market a donation is made to a needy charity or course. A huge thank you to Ryan for nominating his Mum

Sara (ME AND TATA) is the one mum that I know personally that will make THAT difference that we all need.

One of her favourite quote’s is “We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children” – David Brower and I truly believe she believe’s in this and hence the effort to make it a better place for the next generations. Being a mum is not easy let alone being an entrepreneur. I feel inspired by the dedication and hard work that she puts in to make that difference, about fair trade and organic cotton. Not only does she make a difference for the kids but for the people that work in this industry by maintaining the jobs and not giving the work to massive co-operations.

I vote and support Sara all the way

I have voted for Kate Parker and the Online Watercooler site.
I first read Kate’s work shortly after she had her first baby (Lachie), Kate has the skill to capture in prose what we are thinking and feeling. I always hoped that she would put this fabulous talent to good use.
If you have read any of the articles posted by Kate you will agree that she brings reality and honesty to her stories. Kate and her family have become advocates for ‘premmie’ babies and their families through this median. Not one to blow her own trumpet Kate has let writing do the talking. As I have commented before Kate has the ability to leave me sobbing with sooo much empathy and then another article usually about her Grandma or her children belly laughing that I am reduced to tears of laughter.

Thanks Kate for putting the ‘watercooler’ topics out there with such realism. Kate’s passion of writing has been used to make it become her second profession after that of being a dedicated special mum xxx

Lara is setting up a shop in Melton as her house is too small now to cope with the traffic through her doors
Her new business won the Melton Business of the year award and is thriving.
A question I often think about, :How does Lara do it with 2 young babies and a husband to look after?”
Well the answer is, Lara was a School Teacher so she knows how to juggle her time with the family and business as well. Her products are fantastic for all ages, and they do learn, the variety of learning material available is amazing and I wish it was available 40 + years ago. Please support Lara in this award and her business. Thank you

Her generosity in donating her books for the school library and towards a raffle for the VIEW Club is appreciated. She is a devoted Mum who dearly loves her children and family. I live in Western Australia and don’t get to see my family in the East often. The few times in the last 10 months I’ve managed to get over, since my daughter in law, Shondel Dawes, opened her Cradle Cribs and Kids store, I’ve seen amazing results and dedication in making her clientele feel special and valued when they come in to browse for baby wares. What a super little store. And what determination and drive, juggling home life with four boys and a husband who has to travel away sometimes with his work. She (and the family) are already winners in our eyes but she would be so deserving of this award.

I vote for Dilkara Essence of Australia. This is not just about Julie and what she has achieved. This is about the role model Julie is to all the other women, indigenous/non-indigenous who cannot by themselves see the road to success. Julie is that light that guides, inspires and encourages them to also make a difference in this world because she was able to and they can relate to that.

    I vote Julie O!

I’ve voted for Kate Parker The Online Watercooler. I live in England and love reading all the articles. The way Kate writes especially about matters close to her heart is so inspiring. And then to add to it with the snobsville series which I find so entertaining proves how talented she is. It’s enjoyable to hear all about Lachlan and Lucy and how much they have grown. In all Kate provides serious matters with amazing advice as well as humorous stories and to open up about her own heart breaking struggles during Lucy’s pregnancy and preemie diarys I find amazing. Good luck Kate! You deserve the award! Lyndsay (from Harrogate) x x

It only takes one member to mention that they have purchased or found an item/ingredient that has worked for them and the whole 42,000 + members are on a mission to purchase that item/ingrediant…. amazing!!
